Saying goodbye
I want to thank my sister who introduced me to blogging. And while it lasted, it was a joy to me and a strength to me. I found many comforting comments and I know you all prayed for me when I asked. However, the last 13 months have been different, and I don't see myself having time to blog and comment others, which only seems reasonably friendly to do back. I am praying about continuing just a family blog, but even then I am not decided. Thank you for reading this blog and I hope keeping your blog going, brings you strength. This was my life as I transitioned to the new world of Oklahoma 3 1/2 years ago. And it was hard for me and this blog made it easier somehow. I love you all and I pray for everyone back home. Here's to another chapter of my life, where living in Oklahoma is old hat and not something new anymore.

Guest bath
Finally finished the guest bath. Geezzz. Now off to the upstairs girls' bath. It took forever to find a paint to compliment all the white, I had in the bathroom. I just wanted it to look rich and warm, and yet the colors were set up for a great cottage country/beach house look. I am finally content, without having to do any major makeover work in here. I still have a few more decorations to put up, but dear Mr. Martin would like to hang them pro-per-ly. whatever...
This is my last full day this week to work on painting and I might squeeze more painting in on Saturday. I'm scheduled to take care of a sister tomorrow and I hope to get some work done on a baby blanket then. Oh the lucky girl, who gets my first project. I may have to iron the yarn to make it straight. Laughing so hard. I really do enjoy crocheting though and I really love the new yarns that are out there. I may post a pic of the most softest and yummiest pink chenille yarn, that yearned to be bought at Hobby Lobby. Only to find that it was like crocheting dental floss. After two rows, I fell out of love. Too much work for this novice.

Monday and Recharged
Homeschooling, cleaning, errands, social life. Where does it all end? It doesn't. However, I feel great today and so off to the races I go. I am throwing something into the crock pot, so the Martins can fill their bellies tonight with something different. And I can do some much needed shopping. I am in such a good mood, that I have a feeling I will be chatting with every store clerk today. Poor things. Homeschooling online only today, with a lesson of math too. I hope this day turns out like I think it will. Lord only knows.
We need prayers for all our elders wives today. One is down, after falling in the ice and gashing her head open at almost 70. We were grateful she was not alone long, thank the Lord. She is doing amazing really, but still needs prayers. The other is having heart trouble daily and barely leaves home. And she is the leave home type. And the other is down with her foot and diabetic related problems. And we have another woman, who had a stroke recently and needs weekly help. It all seemed to happen at once. The Lord knows all about us as a church and I know he has a plan, even if we don't understand.
Hope you all have a blessed day.

Alexis' Sweet 16 Party
We celebrated Alexis' birthday last night and it was really fun. We put together an alternative birthday party plan, after realizing that putting on the original big bash was becoming too difficult. We had many snags along the way and we had some health issues too. So.... we felt blessed by this night.
We went to an Imax show, then Olive Garden for a fab meal and an embarrassing, public, birthday song and then... we had a small birthday party late that night. Thank you Ryan or Ry Ry for babysitting Wyatt. Ryan was our first babysitter outside our own family. He did just fine with somebody else too. We knew he would.
Happy Birthday Baby Girl! Now it's time to learn to drive. Dad and I just love ya.
